I booted my computer and after it boots you have to press the mouse butten to activate the mouse so I clicked it a couple times and my screen went to 1/2 mode where the upper half of screen only shows up the other half is the start up screen. how do I get out of this mode so it boots up with full screen.

Can you take a picture of what you are actually seeing and attach it to your next reply so we can see it and tell you what is going on?

I took a screen shot but it said the file is too large to attach. The problem is when I first boot my computer it comes up ok with the start up screen with the icons. When I go to my browser it comes up with only half screen, top half, and the bottom half of the screen is still the start up screen behind the browser screen.

reduce the megapixel setting on your camera so that the file size is smaller. You can even use ms paint to reduce size by say 50 percent and it should then attach just fine.

From your description it sounds like the browser window has been snapped to the top half of the screen using Windows Snap Assist. When you click near the top of the screen or double-click accidentally on the title bar area it can trigger this. Easy fix: double-click on the browser's title bar (the coloured bar at the very top of the browser window) and it should snap back to full screen. Alternatively, grab the title bar with your mouse and drag the window down slightly then back up to the very top edge of the screen until you see the full-screen preview appear, then release. If none of that works press Windows key plus the Up arrow while the browser is selected and it will maximise it completely.
