Fan Setup. What do u think?

Hey guys i have some pics of my fan setup and i wanna know what u guys think and if the computer will stay cooler if i change them around. There are 4 fans plus the PSU fan in the computer. The back fan and the side fans are intake. The small fan in the front is exhaust. Before installing the small fan i made the side fan exhaust for a little while but the computer ran hotter then with both of them intakes. The fan on the side is connected to 5v because it makes too much noise if its on 12v, will it hurt the PSU in anyway? Here are the pics

i have the same pc , and my gpu normal temp , is 68 , is that too hot, whats yours.

did the fans made a big difference?

Damn 68 is pretty hot. Mine stays at 35ish idle and goes up to 45 but havent seen higher then that after i put fans. Before i put the fans i never checked the temps. U should def. install some fans.

I will def install some fans , I see that one of the smaller fans(pic 2) blow on to the system and the other one (pic 1) transfers heat out of the case , is that right?

ummm it looks like your rear fan is blowing back into the case, and that little fan at the bottom front is your exhaust?????

You need more outtake. You have two big fins putting air in, but where is that air going? It's not going anywhere, because you have one puny fan pushing the air out.

Oh, and your outtake fan is at the bottom... Heat rises, so you want your outtake at the back of the case near the top. You want the air blowing from right (front of the case) to left (back of the case, where your intake fan is).

i'm running 10 case fans. all 80mm. 4 intake in the front. 2 intake on the side, 2 exhaust in the back, one exhaust up top, and one exhaust in the top of my window. also my PSU has a 4" exhaust. My venice 3000 (939) overclocked to 2.4 idles around 26, and under load hits 40 on occasion. pure air baby

Yea the little fan is the exhaust  I know i need more exhaust but i have to make another hole on my case when i have time. I will post back with results after i put another exhaust. Do u guys know about the 12v fan connected to 5v, is that safe? Thanx

Edit: Another question. Where should i install another fan?

yes, 5v is fine, its called undervolting your fan, its done a lot. second point, is that your whole cooling system is backwards.... where is the hot air going to be outside of the case, at the back, yes, so your intaking the hot air, then pushing the hot air into the cold air out the fron t of the PC, its completely reversed of what it should be. And what on earth posessed you to put in just one exhaust fan, and again make it a damn 40mm fan, lol...

TIP: trash the 40mm fan, reverse the rear fan to exhaust and get a new 80mm on the front as intake, i can garuntee you it will be better.

Its cuz this case sucks. I dont know where to put any fans. I tried putting a 120mm on the front but there is no way to do it. Well i took the small one off and made the back one exhaust and the side one intake. If u have any ideas where to put any other fans, let me know. Thanx for all the help :D

ok, yeh, older cases tend not to natively support 120mm fans (without modding etc...) an 80mm fan should fit at the front, if you do get one in there, make sure its an intake. Remeber that the air flows towards the fans plastic support bridges. As in, like this

Also, think about what you are trying to achieve, you dont want just shed loads of fans blowing inwards, that wont help, it would create positive cse pressure, which is worse than having no fans at all.... you need to create a strong air flow, or air current. This should go from the front (cool) to the back (hot)

Yea i know which way the air flown on fans but i know that a fan doesnt fit in the front unless u do a lot of moding.

their is no air circulation really, But yor temps are ok. My sugestions? to have a current fomr right to left. at the end of the case put an exaust, and add that intake fan in the right bottom corner.

On the front or on the cover where i installed the big fan? Right now with the rear fan as a exhaust the temps are staying better then before i think.

I agree with a lot of what has been said, in particular there is too much blow and not enough suck. I would make the rear fan exhaust, the front and side fans inlets, (the power supply exhaust). That is the norm for multiple fans, air in at front and sides, out the back.

The side fan is excellent for directing air on to the motherboard although it will produce a lot of turbulence (good for cooling, bad for directing hot air to exhaust). The small flow from the front will help a bit in moving air front to back.
