What do you think of this configuration?

Looks good to me, has potential for a good overclocking setup.

If you changed it to a X1900XT, and you convinced him to fold....:D

EDIT: The memory is CL5 instead of CL4, but it isn't too much of an issue, depending on how much he plans on overclocking.

Yah, but he won't be overclocking right away,

1 X19xx in our team more or less won't matter much anyways, and I don't think he would be interested.

What do you think about the PSU, they don't have much options there to choose.

1 X19xx card would be: 7.3% of our overall points every day. :p

Hm, that's alot, didn't think it was that fast, but anyways, I've talked to him and he said he's going with NVIDIA so... sry

So everything is fine on that PC, would you maybe recommend a P5W instead of a P5B? But I don't think hes going to run a SLI setup.

The P5B is great for overclocking, if he ever does.

Ok and what about X1950PRO, I haven't read any reviews.

The X1950PRO is alot cheaper in Norway so I think it would be better to go with ATi.

Opinions?

It is equal to a 7900GT roughly, I think its main competitor is supposed to be the 7900GS, but it performs closer to the 7900GT.

Ok, so do you think 7900GTO is worth the extra performance?

X1950PRO is ~205€
7900GTO is ~315€

Don't forget that the E6400 is supposed to be the best overclocker.

Maybe. They each have their strengths and weaknesses:

E6300: Low multiplier and only 2MB cache, but really low priced.
E6400: Only 2MB cache, but slightly higher multiplier. Reasonably priced
E6600: Slightly expensive, but a high multiplier and 4MB cache.
