Well duh, nVidia should be ashamed if their new generation product didn't beat ATi's older generation product. Mighty impressive by nVidia though! :)

But this is exciting times indeed! Rumors has it the R600 will perform up to 30% better than the 88GTX, we shall see.. =)

Woweee Zoweee

Have you guys seen the guru 3d article with the 8800 GTX's in SLI? OMG! Over 100 FPS Average at 2560x1600 with HDR AND 16XAF. Thats fraking ridiculus! http://www.guru3d.com/article/Videocards/391/24/
I'm less impressed with the 8800GTS as it is beaten by the X1950XTX in some games at higher resolutions BUT it does support DX10.

can you tell at which game did X1950xtx beat 8800GTS ??

In the website that I posted the 8800GTS was better than X1900xtx in all tests
It's beating a pair in crossfire, not just a single card.
So? Are you surprised? I'm as impressed by the GTS as you but I wouldn't have expected anything less from this new generation product.

F.E.A.R. on the other hand is a game that ATi has always dominated in, the 195XTX easily outphases the 795GX2 in that engine, with this new GTS just slightly ahead of the 195XTX.

But as of now, nVidias GTS/X is the monster cards i imagine everyone would want. High definition gaming here we come! :)

I know it would outperform a single X1950XTX, but outperforming 2 of them wasnt something I was 100% sure of it doing, and it shows in benchmarks that the GTX can outperform 2x XTX, and vice versa.

but 800 for 2 would be ok, right? ^_^ (I'm not insane :p )

I really want 8800 but looks like I might have to wait till the prize drop back a little first. cause $900 canadian for a video card isn't really worth it as the prize will drop after a few monthes so I guess I have to wait. yea I know I'm a poor guy :p .

Correct in the website you posted it did not. But the link I posted was to a guru3d article at which in FEAR the X1950XTX beat out the 8800GTS from resolutions 1600x1200 and up.

All said the new cards are impressive and I'm putting an 8800GTX in my friends suprise Xmas/Bday present. Wouldn't that be sweet, your friends giving you a brand new complete C2D system with an 8800GTX in it? This will be my 3rd donation build for my friends. It's kinda like financing a computer with no interest. Say my friend Aaron threw in $200 on Chris's Bday computer then Chris threw in $200 on Aaron's and so on. :D

Right you are my friend!

Like I already stated, F.E.A.R. favours ATi GPU's.

Oh I wasn't disagreeing with you just answering his question to where I came up with that :D All in all we are the winners here by seeing such cool new products come out to make our games look so much sweeter. :D

NVIDIA 8800GTX rocks!! I was going to change from NVIDIA to ATi but after GeForce 8 series are out. I think I'm going to stick with NVIDIA!

god, now i don't even care about the video cards that are high ends...
like, they change so often, that its not even worth talking about it.
in 4 months, ati's ganna bring out some better card which will beat 2x 8800Gtx,
of course then 8850's ganna come out, and so forth,,
just stick with the video cards you already have guys,,, its not worth investing money on these expensive cards...
well, its just my opinion, ignor it, if you would...

at this point, 7900 or 7950 would be good enough for most people.. $200, $300 CAN respectively... which is not expensive at all for their performances.

I'm probably going to wait until the R600 and DX10 games come out before upgrading to one of those cards.
