CS Source costs money now?

I tried launching CS Source this morning and steam is prompting me to pay 19 dollars for it. I own HL2 source and even played CS Source last night.

Is this something new? I found no statement on STEAM's webpage that they are wanting to charge for this now.

Source has always cost $20 but comes free when you buy HL2. have you tried login into steam and check "My Games" if you have it, it should say. otherwise you should email steam or post in their forum at www.steampowered.com

It might be that you interrupted it in the middle of an update aswell, check that everything is settled and idle and try again. Does source come free with EVERY version of HL2, cos i bought the Game Of The Year Edition and it came with a lot of stuff including Source, does it come with the normal version of HL2 as well...?

it was a total steam glitch, I had to kill the process and then relaunch the app. It was weird it said I had to rebuy everything and when I clicked on a link to buy something (just to see what it said) it would error out saying product not available.

That happened earlier as well. Sometimes they release updates to the Steam client while you are logged into Steam, and when that happens, sometimes it will prompt you saying you need to buy the game, and that they are just pre-loaded on your account. All you need to do is restart Steam and it will work.
