Which Card?

Better watch out Crysis might bring that 8600 down, haha. Go with the 8800 and then work on getting another gig of RAM.

Yes.

Only people who REALLY need 4GB of ram are those who A: Have 64-bit OS, B: Have a high-usage server, C: Photoshop/Video Render/etc. Considering you have "just" an E6300 and 7900GS, 2GB of ram would balance your system almost perfectly. And 8800GTS 320 would probably be the highest performing component of your system, but still that's a place you want to have MORE power. Plus, I bet you can get 90-100 for your 7900GS to boot.

I agree Saurian, the 320Mb 8800GTS would make for pretty good ability. You don't even need 4Gb of RAM for Photoshop, I use a C2D E6300 with 1Gb at my Photo biz for CS2 and have no problem. The bad thing about owning a photo biz is the storage, ugh, I constantly run Lifeguard.

Why does 4GB Ram benefit 64 bit OS users?
Becuase I'm running win x64 Pro.
I only see like a 37% RAM usage during even games.
Just wondering if it would really benefit a lot or not.

The 8800GTS 320MB and 2GB of RAM will be ideal now, but dont expect to play Crysis on high. From what i've heard, you cant even play Crysis maxed out with dual 8800GTX's.

Im not sure if this is why he said it, but if you have a 32-Bit OS such as XP Home or XP MCE, they can only access up to 3GB of RAM, even if you have more.

What!? Please tell me you're joking, I can't make up my mind whether to boycott it or buy it and shut up about it. If anyone has the expected requirements plz submit them somewhere on the forum. Thanks

Someone posted an article a little while back about Crysis, and how they plan to make it so "future proof", and have such good graphics, that it will slow down even dual 8800GTX's.

Ill be building a new build.
It will probably be an e6300 since I want to over clock it a lot.
But Ill have an 8800gts.
And I will be using 64 bit OS probably Vista Ultimate.

And Ill be photo shopping and some video editing.

Thats why they are "emulated" in 32 bit mode, and why 32bit apps have their own folder under 64bit OS's.

Thats rediculous...they are gonna create graphics like that? So they must have military conections or something, lol

And should I just get 32bit?
No, dont get the 32-Bit version, unless you feel like throwing another $200 down in a few months once all the Vista apps and games are made exclusively for the 64-Bit version.

I think it was a mistake making a 32-Bit version of Vista...
