Do I dare ask for a recommendation of a,...I cant say it! 0_0 PRE-BUILT COMPUTER!? My friend needs only (ex: Compaq, HP, NOT DELL )
For $300 or less. Must be reliable, (this includes shipping--- prefers from like a store in USA that needs no shipping but, eh, don't think that's gonna happen...) has the best parts he can get for the price, and XP. Do no give anything even over a penny of the limit. A limit is a limit for a reason.

You know, I'm sure it's possible to find a computer for under $300, but seriously... I hardly ever find a computer actually worth getting that's that cheap. They almost always have issues and end up failing very prematurely.

diduknowthat: NIIICE build ;) It should play games pretty well too :) I'm not a fan of all the brands chosen, but probably much better than any prebuilt for the price.

WOW! Thats very nice right there! He dont need a CD drive, so I took that out, but even so, with shipping its still $347.14 but even so, very nice find! Maybe a lower end graphics card. Its not for gaming. He's already making a gaming rig. He just needs one in case something happens to it.

Most of the stuff there are ripoffs, but seriously, i've seen some very very cheap powerspecs before on their ad.

diduknowthat is right, Microcenter does have some decent deals now and then, just a like any other retail store. You'd be surprised what you can get at CompUSA during their midnight madness sales.

True. Very true, I couldn't agree more. They do have some good sales on certain things. But that's only 1 or 2 things. I say Fry's is a really good place to go.
