meh, 800:1 isn't that good. i'd only buy a large monitor like that and what i have if it's at least 1000:1 because i would be playing games and watching movies on it... with such a low contrast ratio, dark scenes and stuff would be really hard to see

If you have a sick comp get it.

well, i have a awesome comp ( you can see the specs here)
But i dont know if i should waste my money on it. I have a couple of reasons to get this.

1. I have a small desk with a old small C.R.T. monitor, and i barley have enough room for my keyboard. if i get this, i can mount it to the wall behind my desk and i wont have that probelm.

2. I would like a bigger monitor. Im not much of a gamer and dont watch vary many movies or anthing, but i do a lot of 3d animation and web design and that knid of stuff and it would be nice to have enough space to run two programs at once.

sooo....idk...i was looking at a nice 22" for about $250, but it would still be kinda small. I saw one of these 28" ones at frys and i loved it. And no, it was not to big.

You do know that your not getting any added desktop space between a 24" screen through a 28" screen right?
That 28" screen is running a res of 1920 x 1200, which is the native res for 24 inch screens.
If desk space is an issue, there are even some 23" screen that run at 1920 x 1200.

Also if you do web design, I'd be more concerned in color reproduction and accuracy, then the size of the screen.

Hope that helps

You could always get two monitors. It's probably cheaper and better as you can usually spread programs out across them.

agreed. shit specs for this 28¨. I've got a 24¨ and it runs that resolution with a higher contrast ratio. On the other hand it will be ****ing huge, which might jus about make up for it...
