Yeah, I played it, was really good. Except the end, kinda sucked, but overall yeah, I would recommend it if you have a rig worth running it on. Granted, thats not to say only people with 8800's, I have a 7600 and ran it rather well (not on high of course). Except the multiplayer sucked too...But I have cod4 for that :D.

Crysis was a great game I agree that the ending sucked...but they ended it like HL2 they will have another game to tie it all up....if they don't then I vote we all drive over there and kick um in the @$$.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I heard that sales were not as good as anticipated (as was the case with a lot of hot games this season) and sales from the commercial availability of the CryENGINE weren't as great as they thought either.

Crysis is one of the best shooters I've played. not perfect, but then, name me one game that is? ;) anyways, its down to what you prefer yourself I suppose.
Like Nev said, he didnt like Crysis much, but loves CoD4, I do like crysis and think CoD4 is a waste of time. so eacht their own.

Definitely buy it. The single player is really good and you can play it over a fair few times as well. The multiplayer isn't great but it's worth it for single player alone.

Yeah I was reading that a while back.

I noticed a ton of people crying over the playing requirements the most which I myself laugh at.
After I made a back up iso of the game I gave my sister my copy of Crysis so she could play it too and she has a 2.4ghz AMD 4000+ cpu 4gb PC3200 ram and 7600GT 256mb g-card.

She was able to play it with medium settings and high on graphics on a 1024x768 resolution.

I think the game had the wrong kind of "hype" I know most of my friends always spoke of needing some outrageous system to run it etc etc which wasn't true but why spend 59.99 on a game that you can't run? I think that is one of the reasons the game did poorly on sales.

One of the reasons HL2 was so big was Valve does a monthly survey where it gets a idea of where most of its buyers rigs are at then makes games based off it. If more gaming companies did that they wouldn't see as poor of sales. Sadly not everyone can drop $800-1500 bucks on a gaming rig ever year.

I mean Far Cry didn't do all that great when it first came out and now its one of the best FPS games that come to mind. I still play it after all these years and can't wait for FC2 to come out finally.

I can't believe you haven't played it, Crysis is a masterpeice man, I really hope that there is a sequal to it. The storyline is decent and the graphics is just phenomenal man.

I could play it with my 7600GT with a mix of high mediums and lows. Of course my resolution was 800x600 but that's the benefit of having a 15' CRT screen. So you can't play it maxed out big deal. The campaign is good fun with the weapon customization and all. Graphics is merely a bonus. Gameplay > Graphics. As long as you have a dualcore CPU that's not too shaby and 2 GB of Ram you should be fine.
