120 ft ethernet connection?

Hey, at my house we've got a hardwired ethernet connection which goes from out from the router to the other side of the house, I'm guesstimating its around 120ft of chord.

Should there be any problems with a chord this long? A weaker signal?

As a rule of thumb when I’m at work (plant) we do run of 90’ between the IT cans. This gives a few feet to make all the connections. At each it can there is a switch or a hub to repeat the signals. For the better cable can go to 150’ max. The say 100’ without a repeater of some kind.

I would think that 120’ will work.

Only 10 Base 5 can have a length of 500m.

All other networking cable (10baseT, 100baseT, 1000baseT) can only have a maximum cable length of 100 meters.
