Windows 11 Windows 11 UPDATE: will I have problems with this hardware?

It should, but you can always run Microsoft's PC Health Check tool for Win 11 compatibility. You might have to enable TPM in bios though if you haven't already.

    Commands not visible in ribbon

Does it let you go higher in resolution or is that it?

    Commands not visible in ribbon

It's got nothing to do with the size of the monitor, but the resolution that it is displaying in.

    Commands not visible in ribbon

The ribbon collapses like that when your monitor resolution is really narrow or if the window is really narrow. Don't think there's a setting to force it not to group them.

(RETIRED) Sticky: Official CPU-Z Benchmark Thread

Intel benchmarks quite well. It's just the underlying extra L3 cache on the X3D chips that you'll see the X3D smoke the 14th gen in calculation heavy games... and the 14th gen i9's tend to burn itself to the ground trying to stay boosted in long durations. lol

    HDD/SSD Drive Speed Thread

For the lulz, threw in a RAMdisk for this DDR5-6800 CL34 kit. EDIT: For even more memes, OC'd the ram to 7400 CL34. Almost broke 20k on the sequential writes. lol

    i7-10700KF reaching 100°C in games

How old is your AIO? Can you also take a picture of the waterblock/pump and a picture where it shows the pwm cable from the pump to which 4-pin pwm header you're got connected to the motherboard?

(RETIRED) Sticky: Official CPU-Z Benchmark Thread

I do a lot of sim gaming of all sorts so the X3D would really benefit from my use case. Thought about a 9950X3D, but could not justify that extra step up for practically no benefit for me since I'm not really doing very heavy CAD work at home.

Thread revival! @beers made me do this as well... probably. Time to smash everyone's score here. Currently stock. Haven't touched the bios at all yet.

Can't really tell from the picture on the orientation of your rig. Is your build inverted? Trying to figure out how you've configured your AIO layout. I'm trying to figure out if your pump's above or below the radiator.

    Hard Crashing Reboots -7700X/7900 GRE

I would just RMA the chip at this point. Under no circumstances should you need to tweak stuff in the BIOS to make it run stable on default settings out of the box. Let AMD deal with the problem.

Advice on Last Gaming Build EVER

It was a voltage issue. Specifically it was overvolting the chips and degrading the performance prematurely and at the end causing instability. You're also not going to get 6GHz from a 14900k. You'll be glad to even run at the advertised boost clocks with normal cooling solutions. That thing...

Advice on Last Gaming Build EVER

You do you man... if you're dead set on grabbing a 14900K, I'm not stopping you. I wouldn't touch a 14900K with a 10 feet pole for multiple reasons. I definitely wouldn't get that over a 9800X3D.

Advice on Last Gaming Build EVER

Contrary to my username, I would suggest you get an AMD Ryzen 9800X3D. The extra cache it has does wonders for games that are CPU intensive. I can't really recommend the 14th or 13th gen Intel CPU's with their whole microcode issue that were killing CPU's. That problem should be fixed by now...

Best Free Always On Remote Access?

Windows RDP would work too, but it's a bit of a pain to setup/work the way you want it to iirc. +1 on Google Remote Desktop tho. Smoothest remote access experience I've used so far.

Task Manager in Windows 10 displays wrong memory speed...

That's not how DDR works. DDR is able to transmit data through both the positive and negative peaks of the signal, hence it can deliver data twice per clock. Hence "double" data rate, because prior to that, SDR was able to only transmit one set of data per clock. You can spin it like that, but...
