Define best? Yep the X2 can push more frames, but keep in mind it's dual GPU's. Omega is right, the R580+ is the best single GPU on the market. The ATi product is also stronger in the image quality department, even if the difference isn't as big as it used to be.

Excuse me, but not going the C2D route with such a budget is borderline insanity. You'll get way better performance with a C2D.

So? I still think it's bad that they put the x on every tab. And yes it uses way to much memory. :rolleyes: But it's staying on this machine, for now..

Well i find it more stable than 1.5, and I like some of the features. What I dont like about it is that it's rather slow, no matter warm or cold it's still slow. And I don't like the closing x on each tab, it is easy to accidently close a tab when clicking on it.

Midi & full, I do have some micros as well but they are mostly junk.

The game should run plenty fine on that 7600GT, it ran very smooth on my 6800GT/3GHz Smithfield. Update the game, run as little as possible in the background & keep the drive well defragged.

Im excited I must say that things look really good for ATi at this point, but they are indeed a little late this time around and I'm looking forward to what the G80 could bring. Although I believe alot can be gained from waiting until both products are out and thoroughly compared before...

Well the 7950GX2 is pretty much the top dog in terms of raw performance, after all it has dual GPU's so I wouldnt expect much else. :rolleyes: But theres alot more to a card than that, especially at this level. :)

Outch, well you must have a powerful PSU in order to run the top cards. So be prepared to replace that.

Wait until your about to buy, then ask. What parts will be most cost effective in 7 months is hard to answer today.
