    Disabling Cool and Quiet

Pros and cons of going from vista to xp?

    Location of OS on HDD

Just so you know don't go deleting the D partition or the files on it. The manufactures really shouldn't assign a drive letter to the recovery partition in the first place.

    Windows 7 64bit?

I think you have a misconception here. It doesn't require any better of a CPU to run a 64bit OS then a 32bit OS. They take the same amount of "horse power" it's just a 64bit OS can address more memory locations and use longer word lengths.

    Switching to Mac

Actaully you are wanting to do something illegal. Apple only allows their software to be installed on specific Apple sold hardware. It's in the terms of service. There is one company trying to sell Apple clones but they have filed bankrupcy due to Apple suing them out of business.

    Parallels

NO it's for the MAC so you can run Windows. You can't run OS X on a PC without hacking your PC. Apple is too much of a control freak to let people freely isntall their OS on non Apple hardware.

Windows 7 is great to install. It has a ton of drivers built in and if by chance it doesn't have a driver for your device Windows update includes a crap ton more. Just be sure you have a network connection. I've installed Windows 7 on 7 differnt computer of all makes and models including...

    Single card or crossfire

I can honestly say I have yet to see any real improvement with either an SLI or Crossfire set up. I have seen quite a few. If you read the FAQ for either SSLI or Crossfire they both state that they only offer improvement on a limited number of games made to use either technology and the only...

    Glitch w/newly installed SATA HD

I have to wonder if it's failing because you used a restore disc to reinstall the OS. So the computer is loading a driver for an IDE drive when you have a SATA drive. You can use the UBCD4Win to set the HDD controller to a generic one so Windows will install the proper one when you boot.

enchanced dvd will not copy to usb drive

Pretty simple really on this one. Your thumb drive is formatted with either FAT or FAT32 and doesn't support files over 4GB. You can reformat your thumb drive with NTFS and it will support files over 4GB then. Though it will no longer be compatable with OS that doesn't support NTFS like...

I use Nero Express Essentials 7 to burn my discs and lightscribe labels. I also use the built in WIndows 7 burning tools but as of yet Windows 7 doesn't burn lightscribe yet. Maybe in Windows 8.

    Repeater kills wife's PC everytime

My first thought would be that the repeter is sending out such a strong signal that it's overwhelming your wifes wireless card. I would try turning down the power on the repeter and maybe even on the wireless rotuer as well to see if that helps.

    Lightscribe overheating?

I have an HP DVD burner with Lightscribe that works wonderfully. I often burn and label 5 or 6 disc at a time with no issues. The drive heat as well as the disc but that's pretty normal for burners. In response to linkin 93 Lightscribe is not a gimmick or underdeveloped. It does burn...
