    I dont think so. I already turned most of them off. All I have now is the program for my wireless adapter and one for my graphics card. but you never really answered the question. Is 25% RAM usage at bootup normal?

    I only mentioned the hard drive space because of the low memory messages that I got. It can be caused by RAM, or hard drive space.

    with minecraft I use fraps. I have it set to record at 30 and I get around 20-30 fps while recording. I also tried hypercam and camtasia which I thought would cause less lag, but fraps seems to do the job better.

    game-debate.com is good if you are unsure if your computer has good enough specs to run different games. search a game, put in your specs and it will give an estimate on what settings you can run it on.
