I have no problem with open box computers, almost all returns are for nothing other than buyer's remorse. As long as you buy it from a legit place it's fine and since they do have a return policy I would go for it if it'll save money and have plenty of times.

Yes, I personally like openoffice better because I could never get used to the office 07 interface. All I use office for now is publisher at work. It's fully compatible with ms office, I've never had a problem opening any file.

You may want to disable some of vista's features to save you ram like aero. It's pretty but worthless. The sidebar is also a huge waste if you still have that on.

only thing that's good about bluetooth is if you want to use a headset or my favorite if you don't like the usb thing sticking out for a wireless mouse. it's no deal breaker, nothing i'd pay much for but it's a nice feature

The first one I listed, the canon would have better photo quality because the ink is more suited toward photos than the one in the hp. Also I didn't see any great deals on that futureshop site, no better than best buy.
