k thanks guys but i dont get it still, can i or cant i buy the 6600gt and hook up an sli with my current one or not?

ok say i wanted to hook up an SLI on my system. If I bought the 6600 gt, from what ive been reading here, since its the same gpu it will work. Ive read about SLI's but havnt actualy hooked it up and if i were to i wouldnt wanna screw it up. So do you have to have the bridge anymore, and if not...

GPU stand for graphics processing unit. its what processes the data and is bacicaly the core of the video card.

how is that possible? as far as i read, an sli makes it so all odd nubered codes go thru one gpu while the even numbed codes go thru the other gpu. what would be the purpose of 4, or how would it even work? mabe for double monitors?

firstly yes you can add ram to your existing ram. for a while i added a 512 chip to my old dell added to the already 256 makeing it 768. you can also mix and match brands of ram and it will (should) work. just make sure its the same type of ram, which for you is apperently pc133.

im not verry familiar with hooking up more than one hdd and didnt uderstand the raid101. If i bought one, how would i go about seting it up. do i just plug it into the second sata input on the mobo and it magicaly works? will windows recognise it? will it be on my computer? will i be able so it...

ya what ku suma said and this might not be necesary but it would be a good idea to go into the bios and set the boot order to your optical drive first(ie. cd drive, dvd drive, ect.)

ya i agree, if ur planning on doing gaming, 512 isnt enough.either save up for a gig or wait it off, their arent any games rite now that require 20 pixel pipleines and a 7800 gpu, its worth the extra 35 bucks for an extra stick, mabe try savingon somthing else besides the graphics card, do you...
