never mind I figured it out, it's a dodgy place, I've saved a screen shot so I don't forget. You have to go to control panel and then regional and language options (stupid place to put it) and then customize and it's under the time tab.

you could also run an error check on the hard drive to see how many bad sectors it has. You can do this by right clicking the drive in my computer and then click properties and on the tools tap under the error checking box click check now.
