    I am, but am afraid he isn't. I believe it was coming straight out of the modem and his only defense was windows firewall, if it was enabled... I will be putting something on there before I give it back however.

    OK So how do I know if I still have stuff floating around? Just installed avira antivir and it found a tr/crypt.xpack.gen-trojan I think. Seems like every time I scan I find something new lol.

    I also unistalled AVG in order to try to get it out of combofix's way. Now I can't get it back installed, because it says it can't write to the registry.

    Now combofix says C:\WINNT\system32 is not recognized as an internal or external operable program or batch file and it hangs on that.

    Yeah it wasn't at that location. Was done in safe mode. I am scanning with malwarebytes (just update definitions) ATM and it shows 9 infected objects so far. Question- how do you read a HJT log? What shows mine has malware? I believe I still do have malware because it runs pretty slow.
