There are extreme gamer oriented sites like Alienware and VoodooPC but i wouldn't recomend them if you'd rather keep an arm and a leg

Agreed, it sounds like EA are giving up on BF2 and just wiping the slate clean by replacing it with 2142. They'll probably do the same when 2142 starts acting up and just replace it with BF3000 or whatever

My bad, i looked at the link and assumed that was they kind of pc he was aiming at. If he wants gaming then yeah conroe and a 7900gtx but it still sounds like overkill when you look at what the guy was originally looking at. We need him to post and say how much power he actually wants/needs

Luckily one of the reasons Core 2 duo is becoming so popular is because they don't overheat as much as older processers. As long as you don't overclock it air cooling is enough.

True but take into account that he provided a link to a rip off $818 pc. He assumed that that was a reasonable price and so set his budget high. I just wanted to show that he doesn't need to spend that much to get the pc he was looking at. Obviously he could go further but even with another gig...

I don't think hes looking for a gaming pc and he expressed an interested in the X2 3800 so thats what i facilitated. Also, a conroe build would be pointless if hes going to use his 9800 agp card. Already this is turning into another "build me a monster pc" when that isn't at all what this guy...
