What kind of cpu and core temps do quads usually run at?
I want some responses so even if you just read something some where that helps me more than 70+ people looking at this thread and 1 actually posting something.
The C2D's are faster by almost 25-50% ( read somewhere but cant remember where) clock for clock than the AMD X2 processors so you can get away with a slower processor and get more done.
Does anyone even have one yet? I just ordered my boxed version for $380, could have gotten OEM for $350 but I wanted a warranty.
Anyway what is the max clock you have gotten/seen anyone get with these chips. I'm not planing on OCing for a while.
After messing with the fan for a while I got mad because my wire management sucks so I completely took my computer apart, mobo and everything, and i drilled some holes so I can run cables behind the mobo tray and in the process of doing this I discovered a place to mount a 120mm fan in the front...
Both are exhaust one on the top and one on the back. I have 2 240mm fans on the side too aka "windtunnel". I checked them both and both are sucking air out.
I just got 2 120mm fans for my xclio windtunnel case ( mostly to out do my fried because he is building a computer now too) but I put them in and it seems like I'm actually getting worse case temps now ( only like 1-3C). I was wondering if moving too much air is a bad thing because the heat...
Just wait till Vienna or what ever the new windows os will be named and then we will see the true champion of coding... mac didn't make the Unix code where as Microsoft is going to make a whole new code for their new os, people are going to bitch about this when their old programs don't work...
Can anyone say perfect for storm chasing? I have 2 old dells laying around ( linux and windows 2000) and I want to go storm chasing this spring. I have no money or will to buy a laptop so I was wanting to put one of my dells in my car. Sounds sweet but I have no idea how to get the power to it.
I will be the first to admit that I'm not an expert in overclocking... in fact I'm probably one of the worst but I dont see how 200 more mhz could cause such instability. When I boot up at 3.99ghz my cpu temp is around 35C so how could 200mhz shoot up the temp another 25C?
Yes I know that a...
