    I used Kaspersky Internet Security and like you suggested Malewarebytes. I decided to do a clean install in the end.

    With nothing else plugged into the hub the problem still exist, although, when it is plugged into my USB 2.0 port, with or without devices plugged in everything operates well. What I cannot understand this that when I plug in my USB 3.0 drive directly into the USB 3.0 port, no problem there...
