I have some questions about AMDs Cool n Quiet set up on the 955 BE that I just purchased. I have some stuff about it, but I can't seem to find a way to turn it off (if thats possible). Its running each core at 800MHz according to "Core Temp" which is normal for Cool N Quiet. It just doesn't...

Sorry im not thinking straight, I didnt mean to say that at all. Ive just been starring at this BSOD and Safe mode for hours, today and yesterday. Ill try that tomorrow, if that doesn't work, im getting Win 7 some how and a new HDD. Thanks for the help, ill post what happens tomorrow

So just highlight and deleted every folder in it, then the comp should recognize all the new hardware??

Yes, it does have XP on it now, and I have no other OS to put on it, and not to mention how expensive it is to get 7. Was planning on my HDD with XP on it to work in this build with ALL new parts. but I was wrong :o

Ill have to find something cheap and soon so I can stress test, run benchmarks and just basically make sure all the parts work. Any place I can get Windows 7 for cheaper than newegg...?

So the BIOS thing didnt work, but I think it's because I tried reloading the XP OS. I can't find my windows 7 disk. Ill worry about windows 7 later. But I cant seem to reformat my Hard drive in safe mode.

Or how can I completely wipe this hard drive I have and just add windows 7 to that?

Everything is new, CPU, ram, mobo, psu, gpu and case. And yes that's what I did. I put my old hard drive in there with an OS already on it.

It basically blue screens of death because of all the new hardware. It's a completely new build except the hard drive with the OS on it. I'm thinking of just buying a new hard drive and I have windows 7 for it.

So, I just got all my parts put into my case and started it up. All the fans are running, Hard drive works, cd drive works, but it blue screens and tells me to restart it. The, I can only run it in safe mode. I know there is new hardware and this needs to all be updated, btu idk how to use...

Thanks for the help =] yea its a good half half inch off the case or so. When I get some more Ill put it on. Stock fan on an AMD Phenom X4 955 feels so tight trying to strap it down =[ scares me because I don't want to ruin the CPU or MoBo I put a pea size of thermal paste and smeared it...

There is honestly no uneven stress on it. Its in the top right corner by my memory. So that issue is okay. It wont short out right?

I just notice that my Antec 900 is missing the gold feet that hold the Motherboard off the case. Its only one gold pin thats missing, so it wont make a difference/short out the MoBo right?? The gold feet are only there to hold it off the case?
