hello i'm new and i need help.

It's really hard to see in the photo, but that connector does look like the tiny BNC connector used for the antenna connection to your WiFi card. Usually the webcam is fed through a ribbon cable in my experience.

The skinny black wire coming out of the right hinge? That's most likely a WiFi antenna wire.

    Windows 11 Discussion Thread

Yeah I retired all my mechanical drives in my desktop a couple years ago. I have a 512GB NVME and two 1 TB SATA SSDs. Much faster and quieter.

    Windows 11 Discussion Thread

I'm curious how many computers will actually be affected. I haven't been able to find solid stats online. I did find that Microsoft started requiring OEMs to add TPM 2.0 in 2016. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/design/device-experiences/oem-tpm While my computer supports...

Can't delete ubuntu from boot menu

Alright, sounds like your UEFI is storing the Ubuntu boot entry in firmware. You should be able to delete it straight from your UEFI (BIOS) boot order settings.

Maybe we should merge these two threads? Special hardware needed to install Windows 11 Are you using 10 to play games rather than on Linux? I've been looking at either switching my gaming PC to Linux or just getting an Xbox Series X with Game Pass and just saying screw it to the whole rig...

Special hardware needed to install Windows 11

It does, both hers and mine were originally for 1000 series. If I upgrade her CPU I'll probably wait until Black Friday, unless Microsoft backtracks.

Special hardware needed to install Windows 11

I booted up my PC for the first time in almost 2 months to see if it's compatible with Windows 11. So far, with fTPM enabled in BIOS, it looks like I'm good. My wife has a Ryzen 1700X, which looks like it's not going to be compatible...

How to record audio with zoom recording?

Sounds like it's not picking up your system sound. If you're on Windows, and your audio driver supports this, you can go into Zoom settings > Audio > Microphone and choose "Stereo Mix". This isn't available on all computers though.
