    Apple Support?

I have noticed Apple supports their hardware longer than other popular manufacturers do. For example, macOS Monterey will support some Macs from 2013 and 2014.

Special hardware needed to install Windows 11

I wonder how widely available Intel and AMD's firmware TPM is. Intel's is called PTT and AMD is fTPM. I have fTPM available according to my BIOS settings.

    Dual monitors

If you're not gaming with them it's not hard to run 4k, most GPUs made in the last 4-5 years will do it.

You may be having regex matching issues. Unfortunately regex gives me a migraine so I don't have any fixes for you. This tool might help you check if your regex is correct: https://www.phpliveregex.com More on preg_match: https://www.php.net/manual/en/function.preg-match.php

Amazon fire tablet not loud enough

The 3.5mm audio jack on the Fire should be wired the standard way (TRS): I bet the Fire supports TRRS (with mic) as well, but you shouldn't have to worry about that when wiring a plug for it. There's nothing you can do about the quiet built-in speaker unfortunately. An alternative would be to...

    Primary monitor keeps disappearing!

You could try better adapters, but there's no for sure way to tell which ones would be better. You'd be better off getting another monitor that supports either DisplayPort or HDMI (a lot of them support both) and not messing with adapters.

    Bing and Microsoft Edge

Do you have the Bing Wallpaper app installed? I noticed it changes the default search engines to Bing when installed. Another thing: If you are doing web searches from the taskbar or start menu, they open in Edge and Bing by default, and there's no dependable way to change it.

Which is better mac or Windows

It comes down to personal preference ultimately. Personally, I used Windows for web design for years, however once I got into the current trashfire fad of JavaScript-powered development (React, Vue, Node, etc) I found myself needing a native *nix setup, and WSL was not cutting it. And while a...

    kinguin.net legit or scam? - Win 10

I wouldn't trust any key reselling site for buying Windows. Always buy from a reputable store, such as Newegg.

Making an upgrade, Ryzen 1700x, i7 7700K, or Coffee Lake

4 Ghz is pushing the limit with the R7 series. You'll easily be able to hit 3.4 Ghz on all cores on the 1700, but pushing it to 4 Ghz may prove challenging. @Darren got his to 3.9 Ghz I believe. I pushed my 1700X to 4 Ghz before having to resort to unholy amounts of voltage (1.4v+) to get it...

Making an upgrade, Ryzen 1700x, i7 7700K, or Coffee Lake

I highly recommend the 1700 or 1700X route. Just ignore @Laquer Head's fanboyism, some of us like to save money and not pay into an anti-consumer stagnant blue processor company ;) I use a 1700X in my build with a 1080ti. We may see Coffee Lake by holiday season this year, but I highly doubt...

    Session saving extension for Chrome

It loads them all at once. What it does at startup is controlled by Chrome's startup options, like Open New Tab, Restore Previous Tabs, or Open a Specific Set of Pages. Chrome's gotten a lot better about loading a lot of tabs at once, it does seem to lazy-load them a bit. I've been on an i3...

    Session saving extension for Chrome

I use Toby: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/toby-for-chrome/hddnkoipeenegfoeaoibdmnaalmgkpip When I save a session, it shows the sessions on the new tab page, where I can easily restore windows and tabs, instead of loading them all at once.

    What are you currently playing?

I'm selling my RX 480 on ebay during the mining craze so I've been playing with my old GTX 660, surprisingly I haven't dipped below 30fps while playing PUBG on the lowest settings.

    Foiled by trash Asus software

I used to use the BitFenix Recon when I had 11 fans in my case. It has temperature leads and it works well. You'll want to get 4-pin PWM fans if I remember right. I would keep your CPU fan on the motherboard header though, the internal thermal sensor is a lot more accurate.

oh mirror mirror on the wall, who has the best internet provider of them all?

Grande Communications. I have gigabit (currently 1000mbps down and only 50mbps up tho :() and it's really good. Hard to test speeds without torrenting though, most speedtest sites have problems going above 480mbps because the test isn't long enough.
