    Good auto monitor shut-off program?

This seems to work: TASKKILL /IM (proccess name, without parathese) example: TASKKILL /IM wmplayer.exe or This one will force the program to shutdown: TASKKILL /F /IM (proccess name, without parathese)

    Good auto monitor shut-off program?

I know! How about closing the media player after a certain amount of time. Then your screensaver/monitor turn off can kick in. Same batch file idea, but use the KILL command instaid of shutdown. You'll need to find the process name of media player or something the like. Have a look here. EDIT...

Brand New PC Scratching Noise... Please... Please Help :(

I guess if your tight on money, that would do for now. Maybe you can save up and get a better PSU later. Or better yet, buy it, and sell it on ebay or something as a brand new psu and get a better PSU for yourself!

Some of those are led backlight (not actually an led monitor) Just make sure you distinguish between led backlight and led monitor

    Good auto monitor shut-off program?

You could make a batch file that will wait a certain amount of time, then begin a shut down. That way your computer shuts down too. This may work for windows XP (probably would work with vista and 7), type the following in notepad, save it, then rename to a .bat file (or save it as a .bat file...

Brand New PC Scratching Noise... Please... Please Help :(

oh, sorry, I wasn't suggesting it wasn't legit, just saying they may or may not respond to a PM, because they only come here on rare occasions. Well never mind. It's very cool they took the time to register on this forum and help out with newegg related stuff a few times. Best customer service...

No monitor signal - HDD light always on

Glad to hear that! Is your Mouse+Keyboard USB? By resetting the CMOS, your BIOS is now running with default configuration. You may need to go into BIOS and play around with the settings. Check if there's USB controller or something.

Good luck with that. That account was created in 2008. There's new a whooping 6 posts. They seems to be different people as well. Although, maybe the pm will email them (I don't remember if that's an option), so worth a try I guess.

    led monitors?

You mean the big lcd tvs? We have a Sony 40", 120Hz LCD HDTV 1080P. It's fantastic, I would recommend getting a 120Hz or 240Hz LCD TV, it makes the movies, especially blu-ray, play very smoothly.

    ATI - VPU recovery problem

Artifacs, random lines, crashes, etc is usually caused by your graphics card going bad. Try replacing the graphics card (maybe borrow a friends or use another one you have available) to see if it is indeed the problem.

You still haven't told us the primary use of your computer. Will it be for gaming?

No monitor signal - HDD light always on

Without any visual information, there's not much else you can do except fidle with hardware. Double check that it's not a cable issue or something (maybe try different cables?). It would be very frustating to find that the monitor isn't plugged in or something, lol.

^Or this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139004 Why a MicroATX motherbaord? Actually that motherbord has built-in graphics card. If you want gamming I'd get a different motherbaord. If you want general computing/media, just forget the graphics card and save some money.

How can I check how big my harddrive is?

Suggesting to someone who asks "what is my harddrive size" to overclock is a bad idea anyway. No offense kidas1, but overclocking can damage your computer if you don't know what you're doing. Since download speed has nothing to do with your CPU, overclocking doesn't solve your original...

    DVD's Stored Digitally?

I don't think so, it just means that's the video compression technique used in DVDs. The menu is other code standardized for dvd players. I do believe that some mkv files can have menus. But I don't think wmp can play them...
