I agree that peltiers are inefficient, and the fact that they don't work well for direct die cooling makes sense. But, if Qmax was high enough, wouldn't there be some extra cooling? (despite the fact that the computer would produce alot more heat)
My point was just a noob was saying that a...
So why can't a TEC be used? If you find a TEC that can transfer enough heat, even if it produces alot of heat itself, and you have a good water cooling system and a PSU that supports all this, what's the problem?
An update is overdue. I'll do it after I get my new computer running (will be experimenting with ATI's eyefinity stuff). I'll be sure to add DisplayFusion. Thanks for the suggestion Aastii.
You should go here and get the latest graphics card drivers.
You may either need to go to display properties or find eyefinity feature when you go on ATI's control panel (ya, catalyst control center) after you install it to activate that third monitor.
I'm pretty sure that's a hardware limitation. However, you could use something like the Matrox Dual Head 2 go to "split" one output to two monitors.
EDIT: I should mention that ATI has a feature called eyefinity, but I doubt it would work with your laptop graphics...
Try this; Go to the nvidia panel and go use the "Only use one single display" option. Then go to the windows properties, that should now show both monitors, you should then be able to "enable" the secondary monitor as an extension.
I can think of two things:
1.Try going into bios and playing with your boot priorities. (If you need assistance on this, just ask)
2.Try using your windows disc to "repair" your installation. The disc might be able to fix boot issues.
Ah crap, I already bought the normal 5870 and a active display port adapter. I would loose at least $50 returning these. Hmm might still be worth it, for an extra gig of memory...
