Post A Pic Of Your Pc Here :)

I have the orignal 200mm fan in the front of mine, but I only use it like 4-5 weekends a year (LAN PC).

Looks like a HAF922 or 932. I have a PC with 912. Fantastic airflow, zero dust proofing :D Buy some cheap fine mesh filters on ebay man

    Are all parts compatible?

I've played WoW with 30 fps in 1280x1024 on the integrated GPU on a Gigabyte G31M-S2L with an E7200. So for YouTube, should be OK.

    AMD CPU/Socket Discussion Thread

Yeah, I bet that'll be the bestseller. I'm genuinely interested in the price of R5 1400X, as it doesn't appear to be leaked. 4c/8t, should be cheap as dirt :)

    AMD CPU/Socket Discussion Thread

According to this (OC3D article from today) there's a difference in clock speeds. Looks quite grim for Denmark. I'm set on the R7 1800X, but it's gonna set me back roughly $768, compared to US price of $490. Feelsbadman Still cheaper than the i7-6900K at $1150 :D

    Windows 10

Just set it to something like "Download automatically but let user choose to install" in gpedit.msc. That's pretty much the closest you get to manual. The new Settings (pretty much replacing Control Panel at this point) is terrible.

    Socket Intel News

Yeah. Most mobile i5 and i7's should be labelled i3, since they're dual cores with HT. In my perfect world it would always be: Celeron/Pentium = badbad dual cores i3 = Pentium with HT i5 = quad core i7 = i5 + HT

    Socket Intel News

Please don't make a desktop i5 with HT. It's bad enough on the mobile market as it is. I hope it's incorrect, seems to be just rumors atm.

    Windows 10

Run: "gpedit.msc" In the directory tree (or w/e it's called) to the left, find Microsoft. There's "Search" and "Update", where you can disable Cortana and Update respectively.

    Windows 10

Home is 0.000001% faster. It's minimal. However, I'm fairly sure Home doesn't allow Group Policy editing. So you can't set updates to manual instead of automatic. I prefer just a quick reboot to Safe Mode, since you have to restart anyway.

    Downloading Windows XP Offline Installation

Windows Update still works with XP SP3. Played around with it in a VM not less than two months ago. If you look for "untouched" ISOs, there are plenty with recent updates pre-installed.

    How to install Windows 10

It's not a loop hole, it's a part of the Anniversary Update that all 7 and 8.1 keys work with 10 again. You can literally type in a 7/8.1 key straight in to an unactivated 10 and it'll accept it.

The wired network should be the same. Not sure of the wireless solutions, the expensive one might have a slighty better...

The cheap one is almost 6 years old, but performance hasn't changed much. Mostly power consumption. The expensive one has a 500GB SSD, which is great. But you could add a 240GB SSD to the cheap one and take use of the 2TB hard drive space it has. With a little tinkering the cheap one can be...

    Adobe Acrobat

Very small chance it will work, but you could try opening in a different pdf reader. Personally I use SumatraPDF, quite light weight and versatile.

    Need a GPRS hotspot

As far as I know, they communicate only with GPRS, which should be pretty good in Denmark. We'll most likely have to look in to a cellular extender, as you're probably right about not having license to broadcast your own.

    Need a GPRS hotspot

It's not the time it takes that's a problem, it's the annoyance when it cuts out at 90% download (happend today :D) It comes with a docking station, which you can get a module for that allows ethernet to be plugged in. But we can't get the modules, corporate whatever bla bla reason. For our...

    Need a GPRS hotspot

I work for a credit card terminal company. We have models that exclusively communicate via SIM cards. Downloading a 35MB software update takes about two hours. The communication is honestly unreliable, and if disconnected for more than two minutes, it'll give up and you have to start over. So we...

    Need a GPRS hotspot

We send a lot of data via SIM cards, and it can take up to two hours to update the software. It's not uncommon it fails, and it has to start over. Not a good system, but all we have. I'm thinking there has to exist a sort of reverse access point/4G modem. You plug an ethernet cable in the box...
