Looking to build a gaming computer.

Without looking at the components in full detail. I would say that you make sure that you get 2133 RAM, as your MoBo can take it. And make sure you get 64-bit Windows 7. And make sure your MoBo and HDD are both 6.0Gb/s or 3.0Gb/s, but I would recommend 6. Other than that, I don't see any...

    Which graphics card is best?

I think that this one is the best. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150467 Now I may be wrong, but from the looks of them I believe it is the best. However, I have never dealt with Geforce cards before so I'm not 100% sure.

    Computer programming language

Yeah I was going to start my programming in C on Ubuntu but it wouldn't download on my computer, most likely a faulty disc. But anyways, I ended up downloading Debian, which you can also program in C on. Linux and Unix systems seem like the best to do programming on. Also, my friend does...

    Good Philosophy?

Well yeah I know, but they are basically the same. And considering all I can do with mine is program, since my cousin set it up that way, I haven't really gotten around to try learning the Linux or Unix systems.

Can someone please find me some ram...

Well here are two that I found, and I tried to meet all of your standards. One is 1600 and the other is 2000. Your motherboard must overclock everything from 1600 and up, but you said that you would overclock if you had to, so I figured you would be okay with 1600 or 2000, considering you...

    Good Philosophy?

He also uses many Unix operating systems to do programming, and I like Linux, as does one of my best friends who is a good computer programmer. But for ease of use and normalcy, I prefer Windows, because it is "user-friendly". I also don't quite know my way around a Unix system too well yet...

    New Computer Won't Post

Oh alright. Hmm. How about the port on your motherboard? Check and see if it looks damaged or anything. If not than it is beyond my realm of knowledge, I think, unless I am overlooking something.

Can someone please find me some ram...

Is your motherboard dual channel or tri channel? Can you post a link to a site that shows the specs of your motherboard?

    New Computer Won't Post

You know that your monitor works right? Have you tried it with another computer to make sure it isn't your monitor? How about the cable you are using to connect them?

    New Computer Won't Post

Does it actually turn on? +1 Stranglehold. I just built one a week ago for a couple in my town and it didn't turn on and then i realized that the button for the front to turn it on was plugged in in the wrong slot on the motherboard. Maybe that is your problem? And I think that is what...

    Good Philosophy?

So my cousin and I are like the only two people in our family that are crazy into computers, though he is much older and has a masters in Computer Science. We were working on some programming on Debian(a Unix OS) awhile back and he said something to me about why he uses Microsoft, Windows, and...

What Web Browser Do You Use?

Chrome all the way! I have gotten most of my friends and family to start using Chrome, and I have come across very many(if any) problems. EDIT:However, I like the fact that if you use IE and have a problem, someone else in the world has most likely had your problem and figured out how to fix it.

    Good PSU?

Alright thanks, I was kind of wondering when I still had my Phenom II. But I also read a feedback comment on it that someone manually set it in the BIOS like you said.

    Alright, thanks Stranglehold

    Good PSU?

@Casey My friend has that GPU and hasn't had too many complaints, and the noise doesn't really bother me. I kind of like white noise. @StrangleHold Thanks for the ideas. I'll consider them. Those RAM cards, are mainly for Intel boards, any problems with that?

    Good PSU?

Thanks. I'm still hoping I don't have to drop any parts because of money problems.

    Does this build look ok?

One thing I noticed is that your old HDD is 3Gb/s while your new mobo is 6Gb/s. That would cause some of your motherboard's capabilities to not run at it's max speed. Though I may be wrong on this point, and if so, I hope someone corrects me.

    Good PSU?

Alright, thanks. I thought so, but I saw the posts about that guys 350W 12A PSU, so I wanted to make sure.
