i could be wrong but i really don't see DDR3 ram being all that much better than DDR2. Sure there will be a performance gain but it will be slight and im sure unnoticeable in day to day computing. Thats just my thoughts then again who really knows.

well that seems to me that would require some audio/video editting. so i would think a decent processor and probably a decent GPU i can't say exactly what you should be looking into as i've never really had any experience with surveillance but i wouldn't think a top of the line GPU would be...

ok maybe a different PSU i apparently did not read very well on that one and there is no PCI - E connector people nag about the rosewill psu's but i personally like them. I've owned 3 and never once had an issue with them

for casual gaming and your goal is to run fear i think an 8800 GTS is a bit much. No offense to the guys that suggested it but if you're a casual gamer DX10 means squat to you. Not to mention there's no games out that use it. I think you would be perfectly safe with a cheaper video card.

yea and if those system specs are your current computer you should have no problem with fraps at all

did you patch it? if its running version 1.0 there was a memory leak so no matter what your pc specs its gonna run like crap until you patch it to 1.2
