It just sounds like your password may have been compromised, which definitely isn't unheard of. I'd only be concerned about your other accounts that use the same password. Changing them wouldn't be a bad idea.

I'd bump the CPU up to at least an i5. An i3 is pretty low end for games.

An i5 with something like a 2GB GTX 760 or AMD equivalent and 8GB of RAM should have you covered. Most people on here will tell you to build one yourself. If you're comfortable doing that, it's probably the best option.

I personally think Crucial makes some of the most solid SSD's. Considering, you'll almost never see the RAM since it's inside the case... this is a horrible reason to buy RAM. What are you trying to accomplish here? If it's just for storage, there's no need for RAID 0.

I have to agree with John. If lowering the graphics settings doesn't give you the performance you are looking for, a new video card is really all you can do.

It'll affect a desktop just the same. People generally aren't concerned about them, though, because battery drain isn't a concern. But, if you have it on power saver, it'll still throttle your GPU, laptop or not.
