Yeah, I keep it auto, at around 33%, it's manageable, at 50%, it's unbearable, and if I set it at 33%, I don't know how high the temps'll get.

Yeah, I know, the 4870 can take some serious heat. I think the max is somewhere around 90C, they run hot anyways, with stock HSF and Artic Silver 5, the lowest temp I got was 52C (stock settings as well). So? Suggestions?

Driver issues most likely. Perhaps Windows 7 installed the wrong driver or something. Vista did that to me more than once :mad:
