yeh i think it should work. That's how it works with other versions of windows, install the newer one first. I did that a while ago, installed 98 then installed xp and it went over 98 so I did it the other way round and it worked fine.

not if you plug it into the ups. If its a long powercut then its best to just shut your pc down but if its a short one then its useful too as it will keep your pc going while others would turn off. If you have lots of blackouts then its worth it. Personally I wouldn't worry about it otherwise...

Yeh I would suggest checking the aerials. Do you have anything else you can check the wireless with? If you do, try that and see what you get. well its whatever you find suits you, that is, when you look at at and its smooth, thats the one you need. I go for 40fps+ but then I don't have a great graphics card really.

They dont have a maths processing chip or something like that so the performance is fairly bad for anything other than word processing, surfing the web and other low power tasks.

Yeh just experiment with it, as long as you monitor the temperature and dont let it get too high then it should be fine.
