Is there a way to remove Windows off the drive but keep the files there? Or should I drag and drop it onto my external, format the drive, then copy them back over?

I'll do a fresh reinstall on one of my off days then. Out of pure curiosity do you know what could even cause this to happen, like what would make my computer suddenly unable to use USB 3.0 devices or open zips?

I do not have a USB 3.0 hub. And it happens with all the ports .

I will try to reinstall the actual Renesas USB 3.0 drivers and if that does not fix it I will do a clean reinstall after I make a ton of backups.

Sorry my memory isn't that great. Still CCleaner removed 11 things from my appdata folder but I cannot recall what or how much and since I ran portable I cannot get the log now.

It said it removed 11 things. I ran the portable version of it and I do not have the log but it was not a lot of data. I just remember they were all PUPS in my appdata folder.

CCleaner removed 11 things, Adwcleaner removed 21 things, and I am now running Malwarebytes and I'll get back to you on what happens with that. Also somewhere during all of this my computer lost the ability to open ZIP files and I had to use 7Zip to open the zips for the programs.

I have never ran CCleaner before but I will download it and give it a try and let you know what happens. I do have Malwarebytes, I ran it 2 days ago overnight and it didn't hit anything. I really hope this starts heading in the right direction, because this is quite possibly the most annoying...
