I reset the CMOS by removing the battery, waiting 5 minutes, and trying again with the battery in place, still no beeps/post. Any more troubleshooting help or suggestions on parts for my rebuild?

I downloaded, installed, and updated Malwarebytes in safe mode, then ran the quick system scan in regular boot mode with this log: It did not prompt me to delete anything so I assume that it didn't find anything. Here is the HiJackThis Log:

It reset successfully but after two tries I still can't get internet.

Reinstalled the drivers and I can still connect in safe mode with networking but not in regular startup. Also, I cannot do windows updates in safe mode with networking even though I have internet.

For the past week or so now my Windows 7 machine has not been able to connect to the internet at all. When I try to connect to my modem and router both wireless and via ethernet I get an "unidentified network - no network access". Two other HP desktops are connecting fine to the internet...

I don't think there is such thing as a wireless monitor... There would be no way to get power to the monitor, and I don't even think they have VGA/DVI receivers... Hopefully they will in the future though.

You'll get better performance in gaming from a CRT, because of the higher refresh rates. They don't however make widescreen CRTs, and I don't even think they make new CRTs anymore. I had an 18" old Sony CRT for gaming, but my LG 22" was much prettier, which made up for the performance downgrade...
