    Back up your data to somewhere offshore. Hard drives don't like unclean power or the ripples you can get with cheap power supplies. I would also say that the power supply is the backbone, since it powers everything and determines if you can even run a stronger gpu.

    Do you have the following items installed correctly? power supply unit motherboard appropriate processor for motherboard heatsink for processor appropriate RAM for motherboard a GPU a hard drive If you don't have these items it's not going to work

    Well you can either cough up somewhere between $79-$149 for Apple to do it, or you could spend $15 to do it yourself. Don't you research anything for yourself before posting threads like this? 1 Google search got me this information...

    Help needed -> psu overload?

    I had an issue like this with my old 610 pc power and cooling silencer, took off all my overlocks, tested all the hardware and it checked out fine. Upgraded my psu to something bigger and never had an issue.
