Thanks again for all your inputs. That Antec Sonata 3 case is just the sort of thing I like, so thanks for that daisy.

Would 2.1 sound be ok even? 5.1 is ideal but it would mean putting the two rear satellite speakers on my bed whilst I play which would make them below ear level anyway. Perhaps it is better to just buy 2.1 but good quality?

With regards to motherboards - what should I be looking for? I don't need SLI at all but I will be doing at least some overclocking. I read on another thread that even a P35 board is good enough for my needs. What do you get extra over a P35 board, apart from tri-sli?

just get the p35. its an excellent overclocker. lots of features. if your not using sli for the forseable future then the p35 is your best choice.

2.1 sound for your needs is fine. no point in having to re-arrange speakers around on your bed just for sorround sound.
