Can some one here help me make a website?
What I want is pretty simple.
Just...
A nice banner, like animated and stuff.
Buttons, that when clicked, directs to another page of mine.
A forum, for easier communication, and to run polls and stuff.
And some other nice stuff.

The site is going to be used for a LAN group of mine.

My web provider is GoDaddy.

Thanks

anyone?

I would but I've already got a very large web project that I don't work on enough. You could always use postnuke or some other CMS and add some forums to it. All really you have to do then is fill in the templated areas for the banners & links

I can guide you on how to make one, but im already working on two websites .. :\

For the forum, if Godaddy has Cpanel with Fantastico, you get free PHPbbs... all you need to do is to set him up. I recommend PHP-Nuke if it's for a clan, it's a nice alreay built website ( looks like this : www.benjidela.com/anti-hackers) easy to use.

I'll post more help if you need any.

Thank You

I got something through GoDaddy.
They have 24/7 tech support, which helps.

Thanks

Unless you need specific stuff, a lot of that can be found with google image searching :)

Bah, you? Work? *falls off chair laughing*

The site is doing well.
I got a lot of stuff on there.
I have a forum, but I need to get a better one.
I need to modify the banner a bit.
And get more text on there.

Thanks

Alright.
I used website tonight provided by godaddy.
However, I can get a much better site and added forum. If I use PHP or something.
Problem is, I dont know what I am doing.

If I switch over to yahoo, they have a website builder. Is that good?

There scripts support PHP and nuke and stuff.
Which godaddy doesnt.

Does anybody have any experience with this?

Thanks

I wouldn't advise using Yahoo! for hosting, they force adverts on mostly all of your pages, if you're using the custom site builder.

I've never used GoDaddy for hosting, nor experienced what it is like. I suggest finding a free web host that has cPanel. From there, if it includes
Fantastico, you have the ability to start a forum or a blog system in just a few clicks. I can give you a link to a web hosting company, with cPanel and Fantastico, however, I don't know if it would be classed as advertising.

As far as custom design is concerned, let me know what type of stuff you'll be in need of, maybe we could work something out.
