10 second startup.

WOW!. I'm impressed with My computer now, after a fresh install of window's, after a reformat, and exessive twaking, mainly following Tweaker's guide, My Computer start's up in under 10 second's and uses 65.7mb of ram when idel with no extra program's running.

I don't remember what thread it was but I was saying My PC using 200mb or somethign and you should be able to vut it down to at least 250mb OR somthing similar to that....It seem's wierd to me now that I'm using 72.5 currently with firefox, IE, and Nortan.

tell me what services u disabled and where did u find that info, thats incredible, my lowest ram usage was 90MB on start up with no additional programs

I'm not even done tweaking yet either. Also Instead of telling you what i disabled and all of that, I'll just give you a link to the the guide I'm using, its Tweakers the forum member's site

I also Did a little bit of my post, That i'll post a little more on later.

Just go though tweakers site page by page on the guide and do EVERYTHING is says no matter how dumb it feels haha.

Oh also the part I was useing incase for some reason you couldn't figure it out go to Guides, then Windows XP tweak guide.

Edit2: damn,after SP2 I'm at 88mb at idel, Must continue to tweak after last updates and get it back down to 70! ast l;east with SP2 it seem's to run a bit faster.

edit3:At 83,b now...Iforgot about videoc ard drivers..That better not rbing it up to high or i might have touble's getting it back to 70zone, but I'm going to try it.

edit4:AHH! 91mb after video card driver's, Must tweak more!


edit5:Tweaking takes a long time sign, but I'm at 86mb now, Alot of the thing's i tweak dont accept the ram i think, just speed basicly, and that's good enough for me, since I really shouldn;t be working about that last 10mb of ram when i have 1.5gb....but it's always cool to know and have
