1080 or 1200

I'm thinking of giving my current monitor (21.5" 1920x1080) to my parents after I build them a home pc and getting a 25" 1920x1200 monitor. Does anyone know if that is a lot harder for my gpu to handle games at that 1200 rather than 1080? Thanks.

There's barely a difference, only 20 x 1920 strip. I doubt you'd notice any difference in performance.

No but video is in 1.78:1 format (720/1080p) these days and 19x12 is 1.58:1 ratio, which means you will have some vertical black bars. Just something to consider.
