2 months ago I bought a new PC without an inbuild wireless network card. i tried to use a USB dongle, and I got a connection but only 1mbit down and 512kbit up. I pay for 10mbit down and 512 upload, so the upload is fine but the download isn't. Then i chose to connect through my laptop which has got a wireless card that works. When I connect through laptop I get to 5mbit down. This was a fine temporarely solution for me until I got my new wireless PCI card. And I don't think I can get higher that the 5mbit before I buy a new router so 5mbit will be fine for now.
BUT... now I've installed the wireless PCI card 108mbit and I'm back with the 1bmit download. Why does this happen? What can I do about it? I now some of it is caused by the router but if my laptop can get the 5mbit download why shouldn't my desktop be able to do so aswell with my new card?
