It should be faster but is it the 8 MB or the 16 MB version. There should be some difference in speed but I don't think it will be faster.

The 10K drive (both 8 and 16MB) will be much faster for loading games and files, as well as transferring files and accessing times.

Yes, the only increase you'd see would be load times. Raw performance(rendering, gaming, and such) would still be the same.
