1200 euro laptop.

Hey,
next week i will start my first lesson on college, studying artificial inteligence.
I want to buy a laptop for this and also for privat use at home (not as replacement of my desktop computer).

i wondered if people could give me a hand in buying the right laptop.
- I will take it to college everyday so it shouldnt be too heavy.
- At home i will only use it for msn, email, watching movies, online poker, maybe some light weight games once in a while, downloading music, etc.
- The screen doesnt have to be all too big. Though not the smallest screen there is or something.
- I want it to work fast and stable. I dont really do heavy things like gaming and stuff, but i want to be able to have multiple (alot of) programs open without getting annoyed cause the laptop gets super slow.
- Battery is quite important since i will take it to college everyday so the battery have to be be pretty good.
- Harddisk: a minimum of 60 gb.
- should have a dvd player/burner, but not a real good one or something.
- need wireless internet on it.

My budget is 1200 euro. (+- 1600 dollars)
I suppose my budget is too low for everything i want but o well, maybe i gotta give in on some points then

For 1600 usd you can get a sweet laptop, the one in my sig is 1286 usd and you can do better than that even. I don't know what companies are available where you are though.
