128MB vs 256MB

Which do you guys think is better, the x700 128MB or 256MB? I looked on different charts, and usually the 128MB cards do better than the 256s, could somebody please explain this to me?

128MBs do do better because the 256s have higher latency ram. GOod catch!!!

Go with the 128 unless the 256 is about the same price, the x700 doesn't really need 256MB

if you get a card with only 128MB ram, then in a few years or less your card wont be able to run the new games, which could require 256MB video.

Well, say I had a GeForce6200 with 256MB, I wouldn't be able to run those games either, most of the RAM is wasted.

If it is an AGP 6800 it could but it is unlikely. The 6200 (with TurboCache) is designed to use system memory so that they can put less expensive high speed memory on the card so that it is affordable

yes, i saw one of those.. a geforce 6 with 16Mb memory ^_^ but, it was really cheap
