145 watt power upgrade to 250 watt

i want to upgrade a pc from 145w to 250w. will it be alright or will it go up in smoke. i have no motherboard manual.
 
Nothing would happen if you get a higher wattage PSU, your PC only uses what it needs. But you must have a really old computer to only need a 250Watt PSU, lol
 
Yes, youll be fine. The amount of wattage on your psu will not fry your mobo because its higher.

lol steve, just a bit of reassurance, it will be fine, i know some people dont like to go on just a few replies, so yea, youll be alright with the 250 watt.
