1600x1200 or 1280x1024

Is it worth going for a 1600x1200 resolution monitor, if the response time rises from 8ms (for the 1280x1024) to 12ms. Would the fps drop by a significant amount if you were to switch the screens over in the middle of a game, such as HL2 or Doom 3?

depends on what you prefer, and also an x1900XT will handle those resolutions just fine.
personally, i like higher resolutions just because the pixels are smaller and its a higher quality picture... except my monitor only supports 1280x1024 lol
