1600x1200 vs 1920x1200(wide)

I just thought about it for the second time.

Which would you prefer between the two on a 17" flat panel display? I am not too sure which to choose. Reason why would help.

If your talking about a CRT, then go with the 1600x1200. Using a widescreen resolution on a traditional monitor will look extremely stretched.

But i'm not even sure I would go up to 1600x1200 on a 17". One being that text will be incredibly hard to read, and two, most likely your refresh rate wouldnt be above 65Hz, unless you have one dam good monitor.
