2.5" HD in 3.5" enclosure?

I have a 2.5" internal HD and I accidentally bought a 3.5" enclosure for it (see link here). Can I use the 3.5" enclosure for the 2.5" drive? Kind of seems like a stupid question, but I don't really feel like returning this if I don't have to. Thanks.

You'll need an adapter like this. Personally I'd return it for a 2.5" enclosure. They're usually cheaper anyway.

You can find them elsewhere for between $5 and $10.

I love newegg but $17 is way too much for that.
