I have an IDE Laptop 2.5" drive I wanted to incorporate into my newer Desktop PC using the HX-IDE-K IDE 2.5" HDD to 3.5" IDE Adaptor. It doesn't work and the 2.5" HDD appears not to have any volts to drive the HDD Motor. All other connections are O.K because I have tried all the configurations and permutations discussed online on the various sites that mention it. We have used the PC Power supply 'D' Connectors and there is apparently no actual voltage connection from the 'D' connector termination on the HX-IDE-K PCB to the 2.5" HDD pins IF (!!) such is actually required.
I have tried a number of 2.5" HDDs on this adaptor. Same result as above. The BIOS does not find the drive either.
I have tried the HX-IDE-K IDE adaptor in various desktop PC's. Same result
