2.8ghzA how far can it go ?

INTEL Pentium-4 2.8AGHz (1MB/Box) 533MHz FSB .. how far can this provessor go ? i need to change to this processor as i think my current one is not gd enuff .. i'm unable to paly game like warHammer40k .. it will lag as the untis get more .. swat4 serious lag .

instead of jumping to overclocking, eventhough that u wuld help. the 2.8ghz isnt completely outdated just yet. try upgrading ur ram or even ur graphics card and then im sure it wuld change. but u might have a tight budger then ur in trouble.

i'm on 512ram 333mhz . Ati radeon 9250 128mb n lastly the main cause of the problem intel celeron 2.4ghz . bttw bigsaucybob wat u mean by not completly ? so is it going to outdate realli soon ?

Why did you say you have a P4 2.8 and now you say you have a celeron 2.4? You need to upgrade your computer to see better performance, a P4 2.8 will still work fine, you just need to upgrade to 1GB of ram and a much better video card.
