2 computers, OS problem

I just built a new computer, making my total 2. My other computer has XP on it, but I would like to install Media Center Edition on both of them. My question is, is it possible to install the OS from the same disk on 2 or more computers? I have heard you can only do it on one, and I don't want to buy Media Center twice.

Im going to have the same question within a month or two, only with xp home instead. so all i have to is call good ol M$ and they can sell me another key?

Like Motox said, you only have to buy one bonefied copy of the OS. However, only one key can be used for updating and registering and so forth. For that you just call Microsoft and they should be able to provide them with a second key code so that you won't have to actually purchase a whole other copy. Much cheaper :).

Long answer: What you're actually paying for is the Product Licesce key. Microsoft is telling you that you can use this key with one machine. You may only have one disk and two keys and it will work, except some OEM versions. The keys are verified my during the install by complex algorithms and such.

Shot answer: You have to pay twice.

Why dont you just cut it out and phone M$? You will know... And a licenes w\ cd is much cheaper as dciscouts said
